About Law Offices of Lise K. Strom

Lise K. Strom's law practice focuses on:

New and growing businesses, with an emphasis on sustainable businesses. I assist business clients with entity selection and formation, contracts, commercial leases (including green leases), commercial real estate purchase & sales agreements, employment agreements, confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements, copyright and trademark registration, licensing & enforcement issues, assisting in the development of marketing materials and disclosure statements, and other business needs.

Commercial and residential real estate developers, owners, landlords, and tenants. I assist real estate clients with acquisitions and sales, leases, option agreements, easement deeds and resolution of boundary disputes, grant deeds, joint maintenance and use agreements, zoning and land use entitlement issues.

Community associations / homeowners associations (HOAs / CIDs). I assist residential, mixed-use, and commercial associations with governing document enforcement and interpretation issues; drafting and amendment of CC&Rs, articles of incorporation, bylaws, and operating rules; and drafting and implementation of "green" policies and projects for associations (such as solar energy system policies and use of reclaimed water for irrigation purposes), among other things.

About the TerraPass Badge Program

Organizations that purchase carbon offsets through TerraPass are eligible to become a TerraPass Badge Partner. Badges come in three levels, indicating the amount of carbon emissions reduced.

A White Badge signifies a reduction of up to 200 metric tons of carbon emissions. A Blue Badge indicates a reduction of between 200 and 1,000 metric tons of carbon emissions. A Green Badge indicates a reduction of over 1,000 metric tons of carbon emissions.

Badge Level is determined by the amount of carbon reductions sponsored within the past 365 days. Reductions that took place more than 365 days ago do not count toward Badge eligibility.

TerraPass provides tools and consultations to help partners estimate their carbon footprint, but TerraPass does not certify the results of these calculations. All energy use figures are self-reported by Badge Partners, and partners are not required to balance 100% of their emissions to be eligible for the TerraPass Badge program.
