Balance the global warming impact of your data center

Logicworks partners with TerraPass for emissions reductions

Increasingly, our lives are moving online. Which means our emissions are moving there too. Data centers consume large amounts of power, and the proportion of energy used by computing infrastructure is growing rapidly as the world becomes ever more wired.

This is why Logicworks, a leading provider of hosting solutions, has partnered with TerraPass to offset 100% of the carbon emissions from the servers under its management. By supporting TerraPass' portfolio of clean energy and emissions reduction projects, Logicworks will balance the environmental impact of its electricity use. The partnership will help to reduce over 4 million pounds of greenhouse gas emissions by the end of 2008, and well over 5 million in 2009.

Best of all, Logicworks will allow old and new customers to participate in the program. All participating customers will receive a carbon neutral logo for display on their web site and in marketing materials.

About TerraPass

TerraPass empowers individuals to balance out their global warming impact from driving, flying and home energy use by funding clean energy projects that reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Each TerraPass purchase is verified on two levels: every greenhouse gas reduction project is verified by an independent environmental auditor, and every TerraPass offset purchase and marketing claim is verified by an annual third-party audit which we publish on our website.

TerraPass channels its resources to get the maximum environmental benefit from every purchase. We are the leading consumer retailer of voluntary carbon offsets. Together TerraPass customers have reduced over 900 million pounds of carbon dioxide emissions, the leading cause of global warming.

All TerraPass projects adhere to stringent industry standards, and TerraPass itself is audited by an outside party to ensure the integrity of our environmental projects.
