34.5 million pounds — bigger than Starbucks!

The astute will notice a big shift in our reported impact this week — all the way to 34.5 million pounds of CO2. How big is this? Starbucks raised huge PR earlier this year with a 5% wind commitment for their stores (see release). Their total impact: 34.2 Million pounds. Clearly, when you buy a TerraPass you are part of something much larger than just your own car emissions.

New e-cards

Our Halloween e-cards were very popular, and we have a new set coming out for Thanksgiving. Local Artist Jesse Baggs is back at the drawing table, with some great new cards that will make you chuckle.

Net Impact 2005 Conference

We enjoyed meeting many of our members at the national Net Impact conference held at Stanford last weekend. For those not familiar, NetImpact is a very fast growing professional club for MBAs and young professionals looking to use the power of business to improve the world. It was extremely heartening to see the sheer size and enthusiasm of this group, and know that we are not alone in our journey to change the way business impacts our world.
