Election update: McCain on climate

Nevertheless, top McCain advisor Douglas Holtz-Eakin had a nice long chat recently with David Roberts regarding carbon policy. Read the whole thing. McCain hasn’t yet put forth a climate change proposal (which is, itself, disappointing), but he has outlined elements of a climate change “philosophy.” A couple of quick thoughts on the interview:

Actually, he’s withholding comment on LW. This is one of the topics discussed in the interview. But, yes, McCain does support a cap on carbon emissions. As I hope I was able to indicate, he does seem to take the issue seriously. please iwant to cast online election can it be granted. In last month’s GQ magazine (U.S. edition) there’s an article (http://men.style.com/gq/blogs/gqeditors/2008/03/caps-font-var-1.html) on John McCain’s daughter. Not very newsworthy, but in there she’s quoted as saying, ““My dad was tortured in prison; he doesn’t overreact to things. So if he starts freaking out, you know it’s time to freak out,” she says. “And I think he’s freaking out about the environment. He’s like, ‘I’m genuinely worried about climate change; it’s happening right now.’ “ please indeed we have the confidence that your father will be the president and changes can always come but nature will prevail, defence is on in irag and wearther is good.
