Carbon market primer

Adam Stein | May 24, 2006

CCXIf I had a nickel for every blog post I plan to write, I’d have…several dozen nickels. High on my wishlist is a series of primers that walk through the basic building blocks of a carbon markets, using simplified examples to delve into increasingly complex topics, such as additionality, the difference between offsets and green tags, the maturity matching principle, serialization, etc. It’s incredibly interesting stuff. Trust me.

In the meantime, though, Nick over at TreeHugger does an admirable job explaining how the Chicago Climate Exchange works. Check it out.
