TerraPass Badge Program Terms of Service

Please read the following Terms of Service and marketing guidelines before incorporating the TerraPass Badge into your website, blog, or other online location controlled by you (hereinafter "website"). By displaying the TerraPass Badge, you agree to be bound by these terms. TerraPass may change these Terms at any time at its sole discretion.

  1. You may display the TerraPass Badge on your website, provided you meet the following criteria:
    • You have purchased carbon offsets from TerraPass within the past 365 days.
    • Every appearance of the badge links to the TerraPass home page (http://www.terrapass.com/).
    • You refrain from incorporating the badge into other logos or otherwise modifying it (except as described below).
    • If the pages where you plan to place the Badge receive a total of more than 25,000 page views/day, you must contact TerraPass at support@terrapass.com prior to placing the badge on your website.
  2. The following modifications to the badge and HTML code snippet are acceptable:
    • You may scale the badge, as long as the relative height and width remain unchanged, and the badge is never made smaller than 57 pixels high.
    • You may host the badge image on your own website, rather than embedding the version hosted on the TerraPass website.
    • On secure web pages, you may use the https:// protocol to link to a secure version of the image on the TerraPass website.
    • You may modify the link to TerraPass so that the page opens in a new window.
  3. TerraPass reserves the right to direct you to remove the Badge from your website at its sole discretion. You agree to honor any such request within five (5) business days.

Please note that the TerraPass Badge Program is not an environmental certification program. We make no claims regarding the size of your carbon footprint or any steps you have taken to reduce your footprint. Rather, participation in the TerraPass Badge Program indicates that you have purchased carbon offsets in a given time period.
