Trevor Baylis invented the orginal wind-up radio 16 years ago. Since then it has been reproduced across the world. Now the next generation model is available from TerraPass.

The MINI ECO RADIO is the next generation model of the original BAYLIS wind-up radio. With no antenna, this radio gets its AM/FM reception from the latest Super Chip technology that provides fantastic sound. Also integrated is a super bright 2 X LED white torch with an additional red beam for night vision. This mini radio is always guaranteed to work wherever and whenever, thanks to its 3-way power: a built in solar panel, a wind-up generator and USB charge socket.

An integrated mobile phone charger is also included, which gives approx 3 minutes of talktime on a dead phone for every 1 minute of winding. As a regular listener of KNBR 680 and KYCY 1550 radio, the Eco Radio has me covered with my sports radio where power outlets are few and far between. The Eco Radio is like the swiss army knife of wind-up radios. Not only does it have a built-in flashlight it can also serve as an emergency phone charger. It is an ideal companion for any outdoor traveler and is perfect for those weekend fishing trips. Plus, it's so easy!!
